well there is a shop shutting down in driving distance from me with a laundry list of toys I want. Trying to see what I have the funds for, would have to cut back on basicly everything as they have a handfull of big ticket items, would probably mean no car for another 6 months or so...

bridgeport $1500.00
South Bend lathe $1800.00

horizontal bandsaw (Weeks Model 58B) $200.00
vertical bandsaw $75.00
Bead blast cabinet $450.00
Strut compressor portable $40.00

Engine stands $10.00 Each
SS parts washer $125.00
Small parts washer $75.00
Mig welder $600.00
Tig welder $ 800.00
Fabrication table $250.00
Old rotery table $75.00
Pressure feed portable sand blaster $75.00

why did i have to find that listing... I want the table and TIG and parts washers in a bad way... oh and that bead blast cabinet....

can someone spot me 4k?
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

I tried to look up the Weeks horizontal band saw and couldn't come up with anything.

It kind of depends on just what is there and the condition and do you need it or have room for it. Some sound OK, others I sure would question. I have a combo horizontal/vertical and it is a blessing and a curse as it pops blades, short throat and spits teeth off the saw. A vertical band saw is what I really want, the smaller one I have is OK for horizontal but not for vertical use.

The blast cabinet could be very good to have. Side doors are...ok... kind of but some do have provisions for an additional box on one of the side doors if you have a cabinet with two doors. A center fill cabinet is really nice but it has drawbacks too.

If you know someone who is familiar with machinery, take them with you to look it over. An objective eye is better than a one with a less objective (buyers) eye.

I am looking for head machining plate/jig specs:
-does anybody can tell me the angle of it, or maybe a drafting for head machining plate.
To be used for drilling out, pulling and plessing in the valve guides maybe cutting for dual springs
thanx

i always do this with gaskets, and you guys have no idea how many times xerocopies like this become handy.
In fact i think there should be a data base here on STF of pdf's for all gastekt so they can be simply printed
unfortinatelly i dont have any good original- all printed copies:) just cut oit away, dress it with sealer like indian head.
those are for moped that gets opened up almost weekly
