Run 11,117s the 1/4mile with a very bad 1,902s 60ft. @1,45bar of boost this Thing spools Up very quick on 1600cc and on everything i have Seen they make 340hp+. Those k03 are fun on the Street but Fall in it's face very quick. Used them 12-10years ago on 1641cc Work fine but nothing for racing.
Keep on going
Chris
I had used a filter on the feed for the hx30 which blocked up and killed the bearing, that's a good ET for the 60ft what was your trap speed? The turbo I have on there is a k04 which is a fair bit bigger than a k03, on a 1.8t a k03 on a good day will make 210 ish whereas a k04 is around 280 I had it kicking around so popped it on if I could rev it a bit higher I would put the gt35r back on it

Ouch. That hx30 is a good unit and very efficent in the compressor map even 2 bar plus. R.i.p. Trap Speed 204,xx km/h have Seen 205,xx that day but track was very bad, all Cars had alot of wheel Spin so mine.
Basically the k04 has a bigger Turbine wheel and exducer in the compressor. But all off the k03/k04 are too small in the compressor exducer to be good at the track they are good in Low end / mid range thats where they are strong.

Enjoy chris

I took my beetle racing last weekend and managed a new pb of 12.95 @ 104mph with a new pb 60ft of 1.72 on separate runs

I also got her weighed and it's heavier than I thought with me in (~100kg)

Happy enough with how it went managed to go a round however I missed third on the second eliminations and ran a 13.5 @102

In qualifying I managed to break a shaft and when I took it apart the CV cage had broken which I think took the shaft out luckily my friend in his low 10 second beetle had a spare shaft and CV might need to stock up on these

Found this one too. And yes seams Like you have to do Something in the rear. The top end speed shows what i said, If it is the k04 those are not for racing (low and mid range turbos) and also small in a 1600cc. Enjoy and keep on posting.👍
