not essential , but not hard to make with a little bit of aluminium scrap sheet and basic hand tools
. I'm all for reusing genuine stuff . My next engine to build is a mini stroker type 1 ,using a Mexican ACD core . when I pulled it down the case has no fretting on the bearing area , the main bearings are good, so I'm just going to get them coated . Good Type 1 main bearings are hard to find in Australia at the moment .

I have
Standard type 1 big end bearings
And 0.25 type 1 big end bearings if needed.
Both New in the box.

I've been reading that the 4 rivet pump is the 1 to use on a type 4 conversion as the driven cog has a longer pin which is better suited to this type of conversion.
