Cool!
Like I said in the opening post. I just want to get it started and foot the bill. After that I'll be out of the spotlight and the officers would keep things moving.
As for the newsletter- I have no problems with any type of content at all, as long as its accurate information. Even though I'm opposed to some things, that will have zero bearing on the organization.
I would also like to say that there will be ZERO favoritism in this organization. Everyone is their own person and no one will be above or below anyone else. The newsletter will not have advertisers, so there will be no one to make happy, due to advertising.
I hate the politicalness of clubs, and that won't happen here.

i think this is a good idea. right now im pretty sure im the only one in utah with a T4 motor in anything but a bus or 411/412 or 912e/914. its funny to see the stares at my motor when i first got my car a few months ago. regretabally i didn't do the conversion but it was done very well in my notch and i love the reliablility of it. i was going to build a 2276 for it and i know it would have been faster but i was reliability or the road and i dont really thinks its there in the T4. when getting ready to build my motor there were so many hear says about "oh this always goes wrong, i would resleeve it" and "well this is the way they do it and i would listen to them". so i said screw it and left my motor in and has held up just fine with my spirited driving habits. i even take it to redline in 1st-3rd in the morning just a few minutes after i have started it and its 25 degrees sometimes right on in the moring. yeah i know, stupid and i dont really do it anymore but to cut across traffic sometimes its need and i like how it holds up to that. in my 1776 i blew my oil cooler seals after letting it warm up for 10 mintues at idle with 20-50W synthetic which is thinner than the oil im running now in my T4. ok thats enough babble, sorry.

Well,
the idea is good, especially the "no advertisers to make happy" part. That leaves out most of the crap.
Question is : Is it needed in the internet times ?
I know this side of the water and especially around here we have goverment legislation to work with on top of it all. But still. F.i. Rolf & I plus a few others speak of the T4 in high notes. And people still choose a T1 engine, mainly "because its cheaper and produce more top end power." And when you show them a really nice T4 that can make stripings as bad as the worst day in your underwear, they say WOOW ! -and go back to their T1 (!)
Maybe in the US there can be a gain, and I would definitely be a member, if not for else, then for the news bulletin´s.

I'd be willing to throw my hat in as the webmaster. I do have two projects on my plate at this time (both of your sites), but I'd be willing to adopt this project. What do you foresee for the website?
Is there anyone out there with Flash/Shockwave skills? If so, I'd like to have the web site open with a professional looking Flash intro to the club.
Actually, this project was initially Type 4 Power, but things came up and I wasn't able to get to it. I currently have this domain registered and for the past few months I've been brainstorming on how to do the domain.

I would be willing to pay the $20/year dues to join the club and I think one of its main purposes should be to educate more VW aficionados about the advantages of using the Type IV motor. Hopefully this will convince many to use the motor which will bring in more parts manufacturers and lower parts prices.

For what I could contribute, well my erudite wit and world renowned feces disturbing comes to mind.
One thing seems most obvious to me, this has worldwide interest and must have the same exposure. All the German look chaps have been leading the charge and they must be involved here.
This is only common sense and has the added benefit of European magazine coverage, which seems far more into this scene than the American rags.

Just paid 8,50 euro for number 3 issue of Utra VW: a very nice new UK mag by Keith Seume, but there is no type 4 in there whatsoever! Shame, needs to be corrected.
