The new heads are coming along well. I just bought Alex's heads as another head to get comparisons from.
The first heads will be Billet for the sake of perfecting things with a programming change before having molds and match plates made.
I have the first set of heads nearly ready for testing on the 2980, and I just received Alex's heads last week. I also have a set of super worked over std 2.0/914 heads for comparisons. we will balance the chambers in all 3 sets together and then swap them out on the dyno and post results here.
I'm not expecting success on the first try with mine, and I plan on using them only on customers engines for atleast 18 months before selling them. This way we can test each set and make small changes to get things more perfected and to make sure that the alloy used is correct.
I'm very excited about the Squishie work, the first Squishie Type I is just waiting on the cam to be made and for me to assemble it. Then comes a full race Type IV, and then my 2316.... Then followed by a 2270 "c"
All I'm doing for the next year is testing, in that time I onlyhave one "E" Procuction engine that I wil be personally assembling.

Randy, I have looked at them. I have also looked at many other sets of TIV heads before we came up with this prototype. I have had a ton of input from engine builders of other engines, and being in Nascar country and having a nice network with some of those guys that are somewhat local to me has helped.
I should have results off the dyno in the next 5-6 weeks between the 3 sets of heads so we can know what to expect. Right now I'm trying to design a cam that will not cheat one set of gheads over another, but its being hard. We have designed our heads to work well with a straight pattern cam for easier valvetrain set up and a cheaper camshaft.
The heads I got from Alex are getting flowed tomorrow and I'll post the results.

Thinking about squishies today. (Everyday for that matter
) We all know what they do and what they are for, so the next question is what do you do with them. I was thinking you could combo the engine so that it could make power higher up. Therefore more of it, and still have great torque down low, essentially, stretch the powerband wider. This lead to another thought, not so much about the squishies but power band in the general sence. At some point at the end of the engines band, torque takes a nose dive. Pretty much any dyno chart shows this. If the heads can breath and the valves don't float, it seems to me after the cam has done all it can do the torque should fall gently and the hp continue to climb. Heads and exhaust that can support this might eat away at the low end power a bit, but really good heads or back to squishies again might make up for it. Can this be achieved? Just think of instead of the torque falling fast at 6500 it falls slow till 8500 and then nose dives or just gets to low to sustain an increase of speed.
