Ok, now I'm getting into it. Kit, What if I already have a great distributor in the Mallory Unilite? is it hard to convert, or cannot use it at all? Does the kit include the TBs as well as injectors? or do I need to get those sepparate? I can get a used laptop just for the FI, but need to know these details. May be getting the kit for Christmas if I'm good

Dave's boards and electronics are made to go inside the 009 body. Since the advance is not used in the 009, its only used for a trigger. Sell the Mallory, the direct fire is 300 times better. You can make your own advance curve.

How much (approximately) will Kit's system cost with an IR setup with dual throttle bodies?

I will be making the kits using Kits electronics. I have no idea exactly how much they will cost, each will be different, I'm sure as each engine and application is different. I hope to have standard prices made up for the kits in a few more weeks.

Wondering about Knock sensing Dose Kits system provide for that feature and with the introduction of Rollers will it quite the mechanical "noise" of the T4 so a knock sensor will work?

As long as it has a feature for it...knock sensing on aircooleds sh, but should be no biggy. You need to read the frequency or current produced by the knock sensor you are trying to use,...say one from a late digifant watercooled car (nice sensor). Then build a can or chamber to bolt to the block. The chamber should be filled with oil to damp vibration down. It should have no air in it and should be flexible on the outside. Bolt that to the block....bolt the knock sensor to it. Either adjust the volume (can size) or oil viscosity until the knock sensor reads the same frequency as it did at knock stage on the watercoold engine. Ray

I cannot stress enough how much the system is designed to be simple... Start adding things that it really don't need and all of a sudden it becomes a nightmare- Just like the other systems.

How hard is it to use / modify / customise EFI kits to work with heads with 2 plugs per cylinder?

Once again, This system was built by a VW ENTHUSIAST and was developed ESPECIALLY FOR AIRCOOLED VWs AND PORSCHES! No other system is designed especially for our vehicles- This means a tremendous amount!

When I say that Dave built the system, I mean he built the ENTIRE system, including the control boards and the programming.

I'm sure it could be made to work with twin plugs, but I do not think that currently Dave is interested in doing that with his system.
