It's only money.lorddoom wrote:My question is that you really want to put rims on a car that the tires cost over 250 dollars a piece for?
A lot of Porsche guys think nothing of spending $3500+ on a wheel/tire set...

Just to clarify, the car in the photo is NOT a run-of-the-mill Super. It's a Standard beetle, with a Super frame head on the chassis, and extensive modifications to make the Super's struts work with the body. I wouldn't call it a Super myself, I would call it a modified Standard. But that's just me.Marc wrote:`71/`72 "1302" Supers have a different nose than your 1303.
Just curious, how do you tell the difference between a '72 super and a '72 standard at first glance? Assuming your first glance isn't under the hood or either front fender. They look pretty similar to me. Are you thinking about an earlier style standard with the slanted headlights and smaller tail lights?I'm not quite sure what Marc meant?- the 1302 and 1303 noses are slightly different (upper hood area, curved windshield, 5mph bumpers, etc), but very similar in appearance... whereas the difference between a Super (either type) and a Standard is MUCH more apparent on first glance.
