It will be interesting to see how these compare to the last set of awsome heads Len made for your 914. Those heads were perfect for "all around" use. They lost 8Hp but made improvements in drivability and efficiency. If these heads are aimed at the same results, ie across the board performance, a good comparison can be made. Those heads and these both had extensive work, so I'm thinking comparing the two will give a good indication of what the vanagon castings have to offer. The only thing that I see might throw it off a bit is that these have the 7mm stems so it is not quite apples to apples for accessing the vanagon heads.

Hi Jake,MASSIVE TYPE IV wrote: Its being assembled starting tomorrow and will be dynoed in the next two weeks....
Lookin to put this 2316 in the "200 club" on pump gas as a daily driver.
Did you have a chance to dyno the hybrid-head 2316 cc engine yet?
I am very curieus about the results of your hybrid heads in practice

Thanks,
Walter

The engine is a longblock now!
We are working on it today..
I plan on posting pics to the R&D portion of the site today
With a Ion Nitrided crank, Pc2 coated bearings, DLC coated timing gears, wrist pins, dizzy drive pinion and shim, rocker shafts and valves it should be very interesting to see what she does!
This engine is also a test for Nickies... We have never attempted to run a total seal ring with Nickies but this engine has a gapless second ring!
