An all Berg motor won't live under lean conditions at full chat and boost. I don't think any engine will. You will be watching a fast acting O2 sensor, right?

btw my 2161 is a Berg engine, too. But with Haltech. Image

I keep it a little on the rich side the motor seems to like it that way, over 30,000 miles on this one so far

I'm going to try A 500-Mile Trip This Summer to Try Out Steve?s Theory that if I Drive It for 500 Miles It Will Self Destruct

My Bug will also see the "Steve Theory" this season. And I'm running a Holley 650 double pump with no worries of leaning out....even at full "Chat". (what is chat exactly?)

I don't consider research to be a web page full of quotes and copies of proven methods.

I just bought a CB 48 CFI system yesterday used mainly for the throttle bodies because I already have a Haltech computer on the shelf.
On thing that busted me up was on the side fo the ECU is a sticker "31 lb injectors". The system simply isn't adjustable enough to ever get it perfect. If you make the engine larger, boring or stroking, you are stuck with their "guess" at your volumetric efficency and power band. The dialabox knobs only perform global changes on the curve of the map, where if you have an efficiency change due to cam/bore/headwork,etc. these global changes can not compensate. It is a good beginner system but is not an adjustable EFI system. Using their hardware and a better adjustable computer is the best bet. At least there are no idle jets to plug!

Knowledge gained from others mistakes is the cheapest knowledge you will ever get. If you don't learn from others you are bound to repeate their mistakes, maybe not all of them but surely some.

And another thing. .
Derrick's Type 1 engine is going to smoke my Type IV. I am not afraid to say this. State of tune. . .

Steve are you being sarcastic about having something about a 4 barrel carb on your site?

I drive my baja bug on 500 mile trips all the time and it still has a Type 1 engine.
I am only 20 years old. You have been into bugs 20 years. Do what you want.

There Steve, I registered so I can be accepted in your little world. Stop being such a lil girl and admit when yer wrong.

Also, look at who said what and check yourself when it's flame time.

I'm not the one "dis'n" you homeboy!

It seems that you are one of only two punks online that see my "true colors" as you call it, it's just you that brings me out of character with your smart ass claims and retarded mouth.

No flame here.
