It varies.. a few of the heads will be available individually while we reserve a couple of specific heads for our engine program.
Most of the heads woul;d need a RAT cam to be most effective- many things are up in the air at this point but will be sorted by the time we are ready to go live with them in May.
Len and I had a 5 hour metting in my basement yesterday and got a LOT of ground covered!
These heads are already being included with ALl engine kits ordered since March 1 and all RAt engine customers are also benefitting from them effective in the current "Batch"..
These big changes mean a lot of admin work to get the prices down and site changed so bear with us!

I was one of the lucky guys to attend the dyno day. That last dyno pass with Jake's car sent chills down my spine. It was just like in the movies. The scared little dyno operator staring wide eyed at Jake as Jake was waving his hand in the air telling him to stay in it. The motor was absolutely SINGING! Then after Jake finally let the poor kid let off of the gas, the crowd went crazy with cheers and applause.
And to put it into perspective, top HP was 175ish with no belt on a 2332 that the owner admitted wasn't very streetable. To be 30hp off the mark but drive it 2 hours to the dyno is a true testament to the Type 4 and Jake's R&D.

That exact same engine is being driven 2500 miles in May from coast to coast...... It's so streetable and easy to drive that your Grandma could enjoy it in traffic! To be 30hp off the mark but drive it 2 hours to the dyno is a true testament to the Type 4 and Jake's R&D.
BTW- I had the engine to over 7,500 on my dyno and it still had valve control, so I wasn't worried when my calibrated ear said it was almost there
The dyno operator came up to me after the event and told me he thought I was nuts. He asked me if I cared if he had blown the engine, I just looked at him and said "Did you really wonder that?"... He shook his head and walked away.

I'd wager that you can tell the RPM of one of your engine within 100MASSIVE TYPE IV wrote:------

RPMs.
What do you say Jake, you think you can get within 100RPMS of actual?

We plan on cataloging engines from 2270, 2316, 2374, 2563 and 2615cc! We have removed the "Super Hero" status from the 2563 and 2615 series after a few years of development of these combos and the lower prices that the "New generation" heads will cost for the 2563 and 2615, this was never a possibility before! Each of the cataloged engines is available in a "Daily driver" (8.5-9:1) and "Performer" (9.5-10:1) state of tune (based primarily on the customer’s climate).
This statement was why i asked just wondering which type we are talking about?

The engine kits we catalog, always have and always will be different from the engine's we build or catalog.
The exception will be this kit and engine. I plan on offering it in kit form, or built all the way up since it did so well and will be so well known after the article is finished.
My complete engine customers will always get the leading edge parts and assembly. Kits are the next best thing.

So this is another 2270 not quite either a "Daily driver" (8.5-9:1) and "Performer" (9.5-10:1)?
Sounds great to me whichever such torque and power so low down must be a different world to a type 1 which has to rev 7000rpm to make 160bhp cooled or 187bhp with out cooling!
Your bhp figures for engines are they with or without cooling running?

All engines are rated with cooling and with full, muffled exhaust.
This engine will more than likely supercede the current "2270 Performer".
The revs you mention are correct, this engine is totally different than a TI, it makes all of its power at a rev range that keeps it from "wearing out"... An engine not needing more than 5,500 RPM to make it's peak power will last forever.
