I guess I have a gift.

I was so enthused by the idea of the 4th Dimension, and I guess it just kinda died out. I would not mind starting a local chapter in the area.

Not enough hardcore people willing to put out to make it happen...

We had a few, but no where near enough to make it a reality.

I think something like this could work, but we'd have to start small and modest.

I think it all depends on what we want from the club. What Jake envisioned initially does require a lot of energy and dedication. I think we bit off more than we could chew last time, it was too much.

As for a new club, what would be the mission of the club? What do you think would work? Start small and gradually build up. The VVWCA didn't start as a huge club.

Well, the original ideas were good. Webring, and resourses for members, etc...
not just the online forum, but create at network of live bodies in the different areas, for support and information.

Something liek that to start off with.

I am up for it and would be willing to do some leg work in my area to make it happen. What about calling it the Type IV Registry.

That's a fine name, but reading it I'd expect a group of 411/412 owners. Remember guys, the Type 4 is a car too.

Aircooled Big block. I think from there you can have Aircooled Big block registry, not just for cars(but mostly for) since we have people that work on Aircooled engines for planes and bikes too.

Can also have the Aircooled Big block club, association, etc.... I will look in my local area and see what needs to be done to start it.
