Chris' car (aka, "project on back burner, building Ark")

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Thanks Levi! I haven’t touched it since I got the body back on temporarily. Had to mothball it in the corner until I finish some more pressing projects.
I guess I owe some more pictures…and Karl hooked me up with some new Wide 5 slotted mags for the back of the ‘67.

Repacked front wheel bearings, Karl hooked me up with some seals, tossed in some new front wheel cylinders and put on shoes all the way around…and put some longer 12mm screw in studs in the ‘63-65 Type 3 rear drums.

Coworker was selling his old trailer with 7.00-15’s and buyer wanted new tires; so I mounted one of his old ones as a spare on a stock ‘67 steelie…wife helped me toss roof rack back on. Went ahead and replaced shiftrod bushing and went ahead and ground it out for a Type 3 shifter for shits and giggles…decided to put my EMPI clone hurst in while I was at it.

Thanks man! I’m planning on tossing the front tube bumper back on and some tree bars too!
