Im trying to figure out why my head temps jumped up 50 deg on avg. This engine would run all day long at 240-250 . All of a sudden its running at 300+. The decel fuel cut would cool the heads at will, now no effect. The decel cut is working. It just wants to hover at 295-310. Thermostat is working. Oil temps do not even top 150 (dry sump 8qts.) HMMMM
Engine: 2276cc
fuel injected
intercooled
turbo

Mine says 300 on the low and 350 to 375 when running hard. I don't know what it means or if something is off. My AFR's are good. timing is 28. I need to push it up to 30 or 32 to test.

Thanks for the reply!
Well, i guess i could say it was running exceptionally cool before and running normal temps now! what type of gauge are you running? I base mine on the cyl head temp from the ecu and an autometer dual channel gauge. both run within a couple degrees of each other. mine ran about 325-340 once on a 90 deg day with 90% humidity and the oil temp about 195-200 I was pushing it hard and on a 80 mile round trip ride. Its nice and cool out today ill have to go make some runs on the local deserted highway and see what happens.

Well I worked on the mounts for the inter cooler. I need to wire the fan back up and weld up the new pressure duct if it ever gets here. I mounted the new alki injection tank.
Does it remind you of something. Aluminum tanks are costing over 50$ for a small tank and over 100 for something over a quart. That is crazy. I then thought fire extinguisher. It is a tank. I striped the tank and repainted it. I removed the top parts that make it look like a fire Ex. I also strapped it down with a steel band, so no bozo will try to put a fire out with alki.

I unwrapped my header today, it's back from coating. The color is Grey Ice and good for 2000°. It is only suppost to radiate 70° with 1400° exhaust gas. I'll post a couple more when I get some good light to take a picture in.
