Well, the geometry is finished. It will have 20" of clean travel.
Toe at ride = .12" in.
Toe at bump= .06" out.
Toe at bump= .03" out.
...and that required burning some brain cells to get. It is truly amazing how a smidge here or there is the difference between major bumpsteer and undetectable bumpsteer.
Track at 78"
Tire either 31/10.5 or 33. Scrub radius good with both.
The parts you cant see are there just not visible as they are still being finalized. But I am working!
All the parts sizes are set, I need to finish detailing each item. The spindles are close but need to be touched up. Steering bracket etc.
Ok, it is official they are going to be things. Not one, but two simultaneous builds so it taint going be lightning quick. They are going to be budget builds with hardly any funds available for nuting. So to keep it simple we built a new jig table and will dedicate it solely to a Thing. To save money we are scraping everything but the body and doors. I am going to save the VIN portion from the pan to weld into the budget tube chassis. The track width will change slightly since they need to fit in and on a trailer.
$1730.00 of USA -D.O.M and 4130. aint it perty!...
So time to get to work!
And just where do you think you will fly that thing?
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.
Ok, I will admit the Jigs are coming along and will get the post rolling soon. I think Benny has some before shots, but this is where the car is at. It seems a shame to trash such a good thing pan, but cant have our VIN's running around.
And the hiatus is from a little yard work!
