Not at all, go ahead.

I did not make a slot...I just drilled a hole. There is a slight amount of movement of my intake due to the flex of the silicone boots but it causes no problems with the throttle at all.

That is why there are pictures, to not only show what was done but to help others modify to make it work for their build.
Each build is different and what works for one might not work exactly for the next.
You are free to use whatever part you want for your build.

That's what I like about reading other build threads.....seeing how somebody solves an issue is the cool part of the build.

The front vertical plate needs to be welded to the fuel pump base plate and to the amr exhaust flange.

Still looking how to secure the back (closest to the fan shroud) to the engine block.
Maybe with a bracket to the bolt from the left engine exhaust port.

carb will be mounted straight on top of the amr, gonna get a extra engine decklid and make a hole in it.
and then maybe some 90° bends on top op the carb with valves that turn open together with the throttle
(like on the blower setups on those MAD V8's)

again, advise is very welcome!

Take a look at this sales thread for an idea about a bracket for the amr 500.

I think you will have some issues with belt slip at the alternator since there is little belt wrap.
The supercharger has to really be mounted solidly, the more boost you run the more power you need to turn the charger. I had to reinforce my bracket several times to prevent the charger from moving around.
Also avoid using silicon bends after the charger. They tend to collapse when running on vacuum, ask me how i know....

Hey,

The belt will run from the crank to the amr, then down over the tensioner, back up over the generator and then back down over the crank. So enough surfacing i think.

The bracket is the first part i made to position the amr without using my own 2 hands. Still needs to be reinforced.

The silicone bend is only to connect the 2 pipes.
The pipe from the amr is 50mm wide and 4cm long.
The pipe comming from the center pipe is 40mm wide and also 3cm long

So the pipes only have less then a 1cm gap covered by the silicone.
Ill post a pic to clarify.

I thought you would route the belt from crank-alternator-amr500-tension pulley-crank.
Your way gives a lot more belt wrap.

Looking forward to seeing further progress. Which carb will you use?

That was my first tought, but with that option i think that the generator pulley wont get enough couverage. And since the fan is connected to it that may be an issue....

It will be the first belt route i will try but when i have cooling problems i ll have to re-route.

The carb will be a dellorto 36mm. One of the duals i ran in the NA setup. Will be rejetted.

Today i made the flange for the carb. Now i need to make 2 pipes comming together to 1 for the amr intake. Sunday ill get the most welded.

Made the carburator manifold to amr. NOT AN EASY JOB! Hope the welder gets it together nicely!

reinforced by a triangle in the front and a piece at the side!

The carb you mean? Yup its gonna pop trough the hood. Hoping to make some sort of butterfly throttle intake on the carb. Wich opens along wirh the throttle position.

Droped all the alloy off at the welder today. Hope to get then back in the first week of next year...
