Got a majority of the tin fit and layed out where I need to drill for the thermostat flaps. I had a brand new csp kadron linkage I got to work with the idf's seems like a very smooth linkage. Also fit the AA sidewinder style exhaust and it fit quite well

When I thought I was almost done.... glad I caught it when I did. I will never forget this piece again.lol

I wish! I'm going to start pulling it apart tonight to put the oil slinger in. I found that washer when I was cleaning my bench to go thru the carbs but I'm glad I found it out before I went to break it in! I can now start on blasting the tin and paint it since it's all fit. I only have about an hour a night if I'm lucky to work on it due to my work schedule so it's taking forever!

Looking good! On the CSP linkage, you want to ensure the carb lever fulcrum length and orientation match as close as possible side-to-side. Otherwise, the 'throw' will be off and they will never be synced past idle.

Thanks Mike:) I know it doesn't look like it in the photos but I had to drill a extra hole on cyl 1/2 carb to get the same throw and adjusted the rods to get even throw out of the bell crank. I really like how smooth this linkage feels cant wait to feel it on the loud pedal!

I ran the CSP bell crank linkage with 44IDFs for several years. Super smooth and rarely had to touch it. The only other thing you may want to consider is the placement of the ball pins on the bell crank, especially for the R/PS carb. Both are on top on their IDF linkage, making the plane of the rods to the carbs more horizontal. Not sure if you can do it with the Kadron linkage, but wanted to mention it.

You need to fit the vertical pushrod to the right side flapper assembly before you put it into the shroud.

Little bit of an update, blocked out my fan shroud and got that ready for paint, painted the cyl head tins and messed with some fiberglass for the first time by myself. Ended up using PVC pipe to use as molds for gauge pods in my center console. Once all my tin is painted I'll start pulling the back half of my car off and pull the motor and prep for install:)

Yeah. Not usually a fan of the original version with flat-mounted gauges, but that looks great.
