Hey!!!! Old guys post up!

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

I've done the sailing bit myself; a couple of smaller dinks and a 22-foot and 26-foot sailboat. Cruising around Hood Canal and the rest of the water leaked in from the Pacific Ocean (Puget Sound).

Not much the same but it is another type of off-road fun, but there was the extra part... salt water.

Hmmm NO. Profile says last active Aug 15th and we know that's not like him. I will have to dig through some old messages and see if I have any other contact for him. I did at one point, but thats been years ago.

What's considered old? I'm 55 but I FEEL like I'm 56. If you're talking about Lee Greenwood, he made a Lee sized post over on the Samba a couple days ago.

Guys, I am going to sadly make this post, as I also did the same on Lee's Ride thread.

Lee did pass away last summer. I have had some interaction with his step son confirming this. Lee's wife passed and then Lee followed a week later. His step son is handling the estate. He has his black buggy project listed for sale already here in WA and will be also selling Lee's blue buggy which is on the Oregon Coast. If anybody has an interest in either on feel free to reach out to me and I can get you in contact.

Lee went out of his way to help anybody and everybody that he came in contact with here especially. His is already and will be missed.

A special STF Dirtpile salute...here's to Lee!

I didn't personally know Lee, but always appreciated his input here of STF. My condolences to his family and friends, and RIP to Lee.
