I am still pondering exactly what to do. In the mean time I have really cut back on the time that is spent behind the desk and been getting more done.

BTW- Look for a Performance TIV engine rebuild video THIS SUMMER! Maybe two volumes all in High Definition!

WOW!
To start with, Jake you have brought the T4 engine, aircooled performance and the education associated to a new level. And I see it getting better.

I have only owned water-cooled vdubs for over 10 years, everything from the MK1 to MK3. And I have done every performance upgrade to them including motor swaps (hence the screen name).
But when I bought my '60 bug, I didn't know anything other than from my brother, who's owned his '68 for 8 years now. But theres a difference. He doesn't have the passion as I do for the VW.

After I bought mine I toyed around with it for a few months, but had a hard time finding good resources for engine builds, performance, restoration etc. The mags suck for vender information. Too commercial.
Then 'it hit the fan', motor fell apart, blew up the second motor and other issues started arising associated with a 45 year old car. I seriously considered dumping it.
Three day's after my third motor install, I ran into a guy at the local Starbucks who had a completely restored '56. Long story short, he directed me to the Samba, which led me to STF, which led me to YOU. Ahhhh, the light at the end of the tunnel. :D

Since I have stumbled on to you and your passion for the T4, ACVW and related, I have kept my '60 and will be budgeting for a T4 conversion into the bug.

I feel that without the YOU, and all the contributers on the STF and Samba, I would have dumped it and returned to water.

Please take time off to assess your situation and clear your head. A man like you doesn't come around every day and you will be greatly missed if you leave.
Also, consider a book. If you and Tuna put your heads together, it would be the most published, most comprehensive book on the planet.

I wish you the best in your decision. You have opened my eyes to the T4.

Best Regards....
