Oh yes, nuts sums it all up...but why not? We only live once. As for the race, whenever the opportunity arises a bunch of guys from the UK escape to France, the land of less crowded roads. Each year, apart from very many minor events that allow participation without costing an arm and leg, there is the 24 Heures Du Mans, known in English as the Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance race, which is held in June.
Bi-annually in July, the Classic Le Mans Series (several 40 minute session races) are staged over a 24 period, each class comprising cars that in the past have competed in the 24 Heures Du Mans proper. So, in the 'Classic' it's cars from the 1920s to the 1990s, each class having a proper race session in daylight, then another during the night. Some of these cars are fragile, so get treated with due respect, others have the nuts revved out of 'em, deadly serious stuff. This year a bunch of us 'nuts', about 20 at last count including Jake and Beth, will be in convoy for the Classic in July. We'll be spectating rather than competing, but the opportunity arises to buy two complete laps over the full Le Mans just for the experience. Jake will drive the mightyspyder for two laps... and so will I. I try to participate in as many French events as I can, just for the hell of it. I'd live in France if I could; it's a lovely country but they can't understand my schoolboy French...

I'd live in England if I could so, perhaps you would you be interested in a house swap
. Moreover, to make the relocation easier, we could swap cars too to avoid the car registration in a foreign country Please, let me know if you're interested (I've got a bay window westfalia, not as easy to race in Le Mans but great to go there for the WE and watch the others race
