Holy crap Steve, now that's a furnace!
I made a bunch more ingots and a couple more shift knobs but I have been distracted with the 914 goodies and getting a Sapphire I radio working. I'm getting better and faster at it with every new part.

When I first powered it up after fixing it I was greeted by Savage's voice, yay AM radio.

That's badass, I'm glad they are still having them made in America.

I got a lot done on the new gsxr setup, still got a few little things to do but the tough stuff is done. This is the 40mm 06-07 gsxr TB, a Devastator pulley, 23# gsxr 1000 injectors, and -6an fuel rail.

Those look totally sweet, Nick!
I was looking at my 99 BMW R 1100S last night and got this hair brained idea to see if the stock throttle bodies would match up to my stock carb locations....... I'm sure it won't be a bolt on affair, but they may work. Gotta find some time for the Notch soon.
Keep those posts coming man. I love the ingenuity!!!
Cheers

Josh- thanks buddy, megasquirt makes a microsquirt, that would be perfect for a motorcycle application. Cross your fingers that this setup works.

Actually, I was thinking of getting some of those TB's to use on my Notch when I go mega squirt in the very near future... They look almost the same size as my solex's. Just kicking the idea around.
I like the stock air cleaner and was thinking of crazy ways to hide EFI under stock parts.... You know.

With enough creativity anything is possible.

Re: my type 4 2L in a notch build
That looks seeexxxy man. I wish i could afford -an fittings/stainless braided lines and the works, but im content with stuff just working reliably; wish i could say my setup was there...
Do the little couplers feel like they will hold a moderate intake pop?
I can't wait to hear some reports on how they perform in action.
FYI - i don't know if you ever had this problem with your setup, but i tried the vacuum lines setup like you have in that photo and my map was never stable. I had map fluctuating from 65-75kpa. Just recently i switched to a cheap vacuum accumulator/distributor(Ebay) with individual lines to each throttlebody and now my map only fluctuates about 3kpa max, but im still at 65kpa at idle... laaamme.
Are you gonna try Speed-density or stick with Alpha-N?
Keep it up! Blaze that trail so i can follow...lol

Re: my type 4 2L in a notch build
It's working a lot better, i think the longer intakes are making a huge difference, I have a nice stable map sig. I gave up on alpha-n a long time ago, I have been on speed density. Those spigot flanges fit real tight, no way a intake pop is going to budge them. I had some issues with the fuel filter clogging and the fpr pulling fuel pressure so I ran out of daylight before I got the tune dialed in good enough to make vids or dynolicious runs. I still need get the idle back down on it, I had a rough 900 rpm idle with the 38mm tb's/mani's I want to get this setup there too. I did notice with the old setup my AFR's shot lean at idle, I always though that was some weird anomoly, this new setup is reading proper AFR's...weird but a good kind of weird.
