Poor Man 4 seater.

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

At least he didn't wipe out the shock or the axle. Arms are easy to build( for some people).

and why did you load it on a trailer to load it in a 'hauler?
Yeah, it goes inside and ties to the cage (main hoop). And yeah, B5 towing and oral service!

Blue is well. I have been doing all the fluids and grease for the nite run and next season. I have been having a hard time getting the cash for my new shop slab so Blue may be for sale after the nite run. I would really like to keep it for the next season, and hopefully my new homeowner rebate will help the slab. Kind of in the air. I have been welding on the Things and should have some update on that soon. I am just getting used to garage fabin again. If anyone needs welding speak up, I would love to take your money. I almost applied for a nite shift MIG welding stainless! I figure I'll weld up up a bunch of 4130 beams and sell them on the net before I work for the Man again.
On a side note, I quit baby footing the motor and found it actually makes some strong power up top. Kinda of suprised me.
P.sss. when I see your screen name I always picture this.

We may be able to discuss some TIG welding for hire on my lower arms and spindles... depending on how proud of your work you are..

Pay and welding, anytime! Proud, only if someone else is happy with the finished product.

I might need an oil pan welded. Looks like when the pan was welded they didn't use any filler material and now it's starting to crack. I've got a TIG but now sure if I would make things worse

No problem I'll give you a call, the key is to remove all oil from it. I use a little heat from my little propane torch to open the pores and a special degreaser for spaceships (post label later). Aluminum loves to hide microscopic oils in it that love to show up just as your coming to the end of the weld. Cooper, you have a skidplate for the nite run though right?

Not yet....at present time, I don't have brakes either, nor do I know if it will fit in the trailer. :?

I have a street sign that Rick gave me a while back that I was thinking of cutting up...and getting a 2nd piece, but am wondering if a single piece skidplate would be better.

Thanks, right now I'm working on getting the motor dyno'ed. After that will be the oil pan, then cv's. I'll let you know when I get ready to pull the pan off.
