Ideal location is in-tank, but those screw pumps can run either way. Main issue is like a Bosch 044 or such, wants a ~13-14mm id feed line.
Fuel tank location, hose clamped to the fuel sender bracket deals with that well, but then you are doing mods to the sender top at a minimum.
The screw pump is ~1/2 the diameter of an 044, or thereabouts, which makes more setups possible.
