That would fulfill two of my lifelong dreams, one travelling across
country in a bug, and the second, making the BugoRama......BUT.
I have a 12 yr old daughter that has been half way across the US for
6 months now, dragged there by her mother(who is signed into 90 day DETOX right now), that I want to get to see very badly.
I can't even talk to her mother to finallize the date.....
School is letting out about then and it will be my time to spend with her.
Lauren comes first, no matter what my personal dreams may be.
When I take the job overseas, it may be quite a while before I get the chance to see her again......so I have to leave that time open for her.

That's rough Don. Given the circumstance, I'm sure you would be awarded custody of your daughter. I've seen it before.

I hear you. Cars are nice to fill in the time between being a Father. After meeting you in person, this is no surprise. Enjoy your time with your little girl.

Oh, this isn't her first trip there, after she got out of the hospital(2 week stay), she had to go for 30 days. Then she went on another binge...
and ended up in the hospital again....while no one was around to take care of Lauren. She had to go stay with soemone she didn't even know for 2 weeks.
I feel like I'm mountain climbing, there are so many *rocks* and *hard
places* at the moment......
I don't want to pull her from school with one month to go, and Alberta MN
is a LONG way from SC.
Right now, her 82 yr old grandfather is looking after her.......
It just sucks being me right now.....but one day it will be better.

Hello,
It's good to hear of your plans to attend the Sacramento Bug-O-Rama. I'm the vice-president of the host club, Deutsch Stahl, as well as a T4 convert, though my car is going to be in the garage for a while.
That being said, my club is in charge of the car show parking, awards, etc... and are currently doing drafts of the layout for this May's show. If you'd like I can see what we can do about providing an area for T4 conversions to group together. Email me if interested.
