I bit the bullet and went with the KC #1811 headlights. They are pretty bad! The mounting flange/stud is towards the rear of the light so they don't have the depth protrusion of the normal bucket style. Super nice quality, made in the USA, stainless steel, powder coated black, reflector and lexan lenses are both available separately if needed. They were $120 each, which is a tough pill to swallow but they are a "safety" item so I went for it.

I'm having to completely redo my front light mounts, move my turn signals, trim, cut, etc. to fit them. Will post up when they are mounted.

These lights are high/low H4 and DOT legal.

Wait till I show you a pic of the light cut off pattern. Lexus type beam pattern compared to my H4 lights in Empi buckets. So nice. I lit them up off a dead core bat that I had handy. Very nice and perfect contrast between light/no light cut off. I have to do everything possible to not get arrested driving this POS (knock on wood).

I finished my light mounts on the KC headlights are installed. Looking Nice, with weatherpack disconnects. I will post pics tomorrow, forgot the camera at the shop.

Lights are installed. I used Pyledrivers wiring method to offload the headlight current to a relay rather than going through the headlight switch and ignition switch. The headlight switch original wiring is now only powering the relay coil. The relay pin 87 output then goes to the high/lo relay power in as original, and is mostly original wiring from there to the lights. I crimped on 3 pin weatherpack connectors behind the lights for when I need to pull the bumper in the future.

I welded a piece of 1" pipe to my front bumper and ran this to a bolt tab welded to the shock tower. This fixed the flopping bumper and gave a solid place to weld tabs for the headlights.












I forgot to take a pic of the lights turned on and of the relay wiring. I was hoping to mount the lights completely flush and behind the fenders but there is no tire clearance.

Congrats, very clean looking which can be hard to accomplish! Those are the toys people "in the know" take time look at trying to figure out all that has been done.

isn't that lots of orange peal?
I've tried rusto with 10% acetone- i could not make it to level at all- major orange peal.
Then i have tried it w/mineral spirits- much better (outside temp 90- mid-hi level humidity-if it matters)

Also so called famous tread (50dollar paint job at "hot rod" magazine) uses Canadian version of rusto which differs from US. Their chemical laws are lesser (so more toxins into paint:).

It needed thinning a lot more to shoot correctly. My gun was having a hard time flowing the paint. It needs a respray but I got tired of bodywork.

I managed to get my 1991 Haltech F9 to datalog O2 outputs from the Tech Edge wideband.

This should make tuning easier. Once I get the Haltech 100% tuned, it is being pulled for the Redline ECU.

We borrowed a friends rocket to put up on the roof of shop. The building is just a touch over 20 ft tall. The rocket is about 22 feet tall. It is made out of an old belly fuel tank from ww2.

You got all wrong....that thing need to be strapped to the top of the baja

That would get some looks.

Can you imagine the fins and outlet hanging out the back of the engine cage covering the engine and the nose if it extending out of the bonnet? That 'ud stop a few people in their tacks! Kind of like the roadrunner and they coyote.
