Finally got the engine running again after I had the cylinders honed as there was still some left-over damage from the oil starvation before. Nice even compression on all cylinders now :D

very nice sound. but sounds a litte hard or is it just me?
lets see what it can to on the road under boost and how far it will spin in rpm ;)

take care of it i wanne see it end of the month!

Some quick, last minute dyno testing today as someone else cancelled their appointment 8)

Thats 20 psi for the us-readers and about 160 crank-hp from 5000-6000 rpm

Still not running right as I think their is some electrical interference still, but gained lots of valuable info today :D

That's impressive! 8)

What turbo are you using Wally?
I'd be interested to see what kind of fuel consumption you see once tuned and driven "normally".

Small displacement turbo engines ftw! :D

Wally, do you run the little mouse engine in a closed loop configuration?

Yes, always.
Many tuners don't do that, so I know there is controvery about that.

Just installed a bigger turbo 8)
I always love to say that  It was to be disposed of as it was said to leak oil past its seals. Not in my car anyways so it was free :D
Needed to give it about 5% more fuel, so I think it must have a few hp more now
and it still lives.

Two days now...and counting.

I know but look at it the other way around, what is the point of buying a modern ECU if it can't run the engine by itself? :?

In a high boost application I can understand that some might choose not to trust the auto tune.

So why the question if you have a strong opinion about the subject already?

You wrote:

And I wrote: I know. And continued by saying that I do not see the point of buying a ECU if it was not for the fact that it is capable of running a engine by itself aka auto tune aka closed loop.

Not sure why you consider that a strong opinion?
