I got the email and replied-maybe spammed
I haven't ran a turbo through it but no reason why it won't work.
Make sure you can get a single injector big enough or use a secondary injector
upstream.
Largest single high resistance injectors I use are good for max 140 hp
There is a pic on this thread of a quick mock up I did using off the shelf bits with a second injector.
I have seen 160lb/hr and am currently testing a set of 220lb/hr high z injectors on my 2276 setup. They are out there.

Thanks Paul, yeah found it in the junk :/
So a single that can supply enough fuel wont lose resolution at low speeds/idle etc? Driveability here over peak power.
If I need to go thatbig and/or add secondary injector I'm almost at the point where I might as well go for port injection and just a throttle body?
How about the distance the fuel has to travel?

How much power are you looking to make?

No idea...TD04-11g from a 2.5l Diesel range rover
1915
Mofoco 40x35 rasser heads
Scat c35.
120hp or so should chooch nicely? It's a bit of a learning curve throwing parts together tbh just to try out a turbo bug.

Packaging wise I see no problem using a side draft looking throttle body and using multi port style fuel system. From what I recall dodge K cars were done in a similar manner.

Personally I'd just try the single 140hp injector but run the static fuel pressure at 50psi which would increase the capacity to about 160hp
Keep the boost down to 7psi and log the injector duty cycle and afr.
Worst case scenario is you can modify the stock end castings and put 4 small injectors at the port and run the single in the throttle as a secondary enricher

Thanks paul. If I've potentially got to go down the route of port injectors that makes for an expensive throttle body. I'll do some more research.

turbo stuff tends to get expensive one way or another -doing it on the cheap is usually the most expensive way

Hmmm I know you're right.

There's going to be some action on this thread fairly soon. I have a 2017cc motor to test and hoping for 140ft/lb @ idle

I can see using the manifold vac port for MAP sensor, but where would you install an intake air temp sensor with this setup? I believe small sensors are available a 1/8" NPT size. Could that work in the boss on the TB? Or is it bad to have it near the injector and butterly and better to be higher up in the air cleaner?

it's a lot easier to put the air temp sensor in the air filter box and better for a stealth un modified look

The sensor is also much less likely to get heat soak up in a plastic air cleaner, with a tbi setup you ideally need manifold heat, just like a carb.
Port injection doesnt need manifold heat as the intake ports get plenty hot...
(run the late plastic air cleaner if possible, better filtration and airflow)

i did recently dyno the 2017cc motor but it didn't make the 140ft/lb of torque and as expected it maxed out at about 100hp
