Looking GREAT,
I have been following your build, and am slowly working on something similar. With German FI endcastings modified for modern injectors. What are the specs on your Turbo? Keep up the good work.

Dammit, I searched for that thread forever and couldn't find it!

It was for sale some time ago on the some diesel forum, my buddy was so sure the diesel guys would go nuts over it. Not so much, so I guess you win and they lose!

Post up some more pics, I'm really pleased with how the compressor housing came out.

Kenric,

It's a KKK K24, from an Audi 200 Turbo. It's a little smaller than a T3, so it should be a good fit for this build. Bonus: it's got a VW symbol on it, so you can tell people it's factory.

Totally gorgous install. I love the ms and turbo combo on any motor. Are you going to use e85? High octane and lower egt's are good for air cooled motors.

E85 is not readily available where I live. I think there is one or two places around here that offer it, but I would have to drive almost an hour to get it. So premium gasoline for me.

Aw man. I have three E85-carrying stations within 20 minutes of me... I think the Ke-Jet Beetle will be tuned for E85.

It's a shame you'll have to go from this:

Lol @ Tory, I just pissed myself a little...

It doesn't HAVE to be like that though, the average person would have a real hard time finding my turbo...

The average person would have a hard time figuring out your motor altogether... where's the fuel pump? Where's the distributor? Where's the manifold and carburetor?

I think it could be cool to do a big motor/turbo/efi in a totally stock-looking, super-early model with your style induction... put all the good stuff in the parcel tray, then put a dummy carburetor, coil, fuel pump, etc. in place...

Maybe get a stock muffler and core it out, with the primary exhaust routed through it so it looks and even sounds a bit like stock. Then when it comes time to go fast, use an exhaust cut-out to open up the 4-inch open pipe hidden under the fender.

Widened steelies in the rear, etc... Total sleeper.
