When do you plan on doing the testing? I have a tri-mil Baja exhaust from fat that I might be able to get to you if you are interested.

It is slightly modified. I had to smash the tube slightly that goes by the add-on dipstick holder for clearance.

I would need the sedan version of the FAT/ Tri Mil header for accurate comparisons.

Hey Tuna
Any opinion if this will fit the back of a Splitbus w/DTM T4?
I have a "custom" rear apron so mods are not a problem. Saw an A1 system at the local shop for a T1, nice work.

I agree, looked at the larger pics on Tuna's site. Looks like the appearance would be similar to what a T1 would look like w/header and fat boy muffler.

It's got to flow better than the 411 tubes and Fat performance header I have. I believe it Fat's any way.

From the photos, it might. I can't say for sure, but it seems like the Type 1 headers had problems with the bumpers on an early Bus, so the collector placement and the muffler are going to be areas to watch out.

Ideally, you should take the Bus to Tiger and have him make a header for your Bus. Barring that, I don't know. You might drop Tiger an email or give him a call and talk with him.

Tuna

P.S. You might wait until Jake does the group buy, see if he'll sell you one on a "only if it fits" basis. That way we'd know and you wouldn't be stuck with the header if it didn't work out. I'm not saying that Jake would do it for sure, but it's worth asking. :P

Anyone willing to guess, or know, the distance from the flywheel to the outer part of the Beetle apron?

Tease us will you. :P

Jake
Didn't get your email about the Ful Flow oil "kit".

I did email Tiger and he told me that the header will be made to clear a stock oil filter.

Yes, he and I went over that and after I told him the importance of it, he agreed to make it fit around the filter..

Even better.

Makes it simpler for people who just want to bolt it in and use it!

As soon as its past Jake's testing I will be ordering one :D
