Glad to see you back, sorry about your back. Doesn't sound like much fun. Try and keep the car issues in check. It's 40 year old economy car well past it's intended design life. Stuff is gonna break. It's not trying to get you. If it's a financial drain on your family, get rid of it. You can always get another one when things turn around.
My wiper motor never worked for me. I've been looking around for one and gave up on used parts and finally decided to get a new one. Since the parts store had a core charge so I pull mine out before I went. Since I had it out, I decided to open it up. The Whole inside was rusted and the brushes were hung up. Cleaned it up and it runs like a champ on hi and low. Sometimes you get lucky...

Be tough to get rid of it, since its my only car. Only have my wifes corola & the Baja. I sold all my other cars! (91 toy 4x4, 97 jimmy, 04 saturn, 93 civic. even my trailer went!)
Wiper motor seems to work just fine on 12 volts @ about 300+ wipes per minute.
but at 6 volts it just wont wipe? I put in a brand new voltage drop & still acted the same. Im not sure whats wrong with it.
I have a spare wiper motor out of my 91 4x4. Wouldnt take too much modifying to mount it in the wiper set-up + a make a short arm, but not sure wow to wire it to make it work. It has a 4 wire conector. I figured out the ground, high & low, but there are 2 more leads & i have no idea how or what to hook them to. (guess i could just use it without a return/ stop srtting. but that sucks. I want it to work properly. It would drive me nuts if not!
May be the medication haze. But Im stumped on the wireing.... Any one have any ideas???? Ill post a pic of the motor.
(Got me on 1600 mg anti-inflamitorys twice a day, 2 perk. pain pills every 4 hrs & & muscle relaxers every 6 hrs, & I still hurting like #ell!!!! Just seems to make me Itchy, a bit Groggy, & verry Irratable!)

I've been thinking of using my subaru windshield motor.
See if the two wires complete a circuit when parked (or break the circuit when parked). If that doesn't work, see if any one of the two wires completes a circuit to ground when parked.
Hope your get to feeling better.

I have to have a car! still have a dr apointment 1 to 2 times a week.........
I gave up on it for a few days & am working on a couple projects around the house & yah Im payimg big time with lots of extra pain! But somebody has to do all this stuff... When I just lay around, Nothing gets done! Cant figure out why???
Wife isnt realy any help..... I had to change out her battery in her car. its not that hard, unless your back is F%^$*&! But she wasnt going to do it & wanted to pay to have it instaled. but needed to save the extra few $$ so i did it.
The wife was knocked down to part time for the last 2+ years. So now, even car maintanance is like a financial crisis. She did get a new job, but its going to take a long time to get back on our feet. Even longer than normal because it pays $5 an Hr less. (Thats just barely above minimum wage & she almost got the same amount of $$$ working part time at the other job.), But it does give medical, which she never had at the other job.)
Another reason why the baja is an issue is because she wont drive it. Not even if her car is out of commition.
She hates it & sais its not safe & reliable...

next time take the car to your local autozone or oreillys or any of your local flaps they install batteries, head lights and tail light bulbs for free. but it also depends on what type of car it is we won't change a battery on the chryslers with the bat in the wheel well.

Really? Holes in your oil filters? Did you see them do it? There are lot of filters out there that just burst. Thats why I don't run one.
So how's the back doing? Where you been hiding?
