I got exactly 3.5" left for filters. As far as cable linkage goes, I'll probably piece something together with bits from the gixxer throttle bodies and some cables from here http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/produc ... oduct=1270

My buddy eric anderson worked over some stock intake runners. They just happen to have the exact same center to center dimensions as 04-05 gixxer TB's. He's an animal when it comes to to precision machining.

I looked all over UNI's website and couldn't find the ones AC.net sells. I need to know the dimensions before I can pull the trigger. I'm going to try and sqeeze these bad boys on, http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... %7CGRP2026_____

the only other 2 sizes that K&N makes are 4" tall(too tall), and 1.75"(too short, I don't think I'll be able to suck enough air through them). these guys are 3" which is just right, unfortunately they are for a 78mm center to center. I'm pretty sure I can use my man hands and make them work

The uni PK pod filters w/chrome caps are all 3" tall.
(3.5" including the TB clamp lip)
I'm pretty sure these are the ones...

Not sure if you need a PK92, but they come in packs of 2.

Money shot of the air intake I fabbed based on Nates plate, uses 3 long "nuts", basically drilled and tapped 10-32 coupler nuts on 6mm studs, easy on/off for fan belt changes or whatever, it's off and on in ~2 minutes. I yanked the nosecone mount to try to replace it, but it was in great shape---I ended up adding a steel filler bit to the nosecone mount limiter gap and filling the rest of the gap around the interlocking nose bit with Shoe-Goo. We'll see if that stiffened it up enough.

Nice pile, I unfortunately have a SA car so I had to figure something else out for the engine hanger. I might eventualy steal your airduct idea. My setup works but it takes quite a bit of finagling to get it in and out(not like I need to do that a lot, but still).

Nick, once you figure out what your going to do for your engine hanger please let me know. Since we are both running early notches both with swing axle rear ends at this point in time, whatever you mock up could probably work in mine as well. So I have my eyes pealed.

Shouldnt be too difficult.

There you go brett, just some strap welded to the sides of the air intake duct drains, with angle iron welded to that, the we bolted that to the bus engine hanger. Works awesome.

I just got the notch towed home. I can't shift into any gears, I think the hockey stick broke.

Hopefully the shift coupler just bit it.

tomorrow I'm ordering some K&N filters and 1.75" couplers/clamps. All I need now is some slowtwitch cable linkage, does anybody know how to get ahold of him?

Sweeet setup! I'm such a newbie! That's why I come here often, there's so much to learn. Ninja, are the gixxer TB's welded to the manifold? if not, how are you mounting\attaching them to the manifold? I really enjoy the creativity and ideas on this site. I've gotten side tracked from my project for a few months now (home improvement project takes priority). Thanks.

I'm still waiting on the 1.75" silicone couplers/t-bolt clamps to arrive. I did get a hair up my ass the other day and added a throttle plate stop for WOT and a adjuster screw for syncing idle. I got fix my trans before I install the ITB's

Thanks for the pictures of your motormounts. Started my new ones this weekend.
They will be mounted to a cutted bus hanger. My mobile usally makes good pictures, but not with the scratch on the lense.
