Not bad at all really. $289.50 -> £153.28 for four, I paid more than that for my replacement D-Jet injectors a few years back. You'll obviously need to add shipping and import duty and I also got the 'pigtail' connectors which put a bit more on the overall price. Fast shipping too.Chris Percival wrote:Were the injectors reasonable, or were they big bucks?

And while I think of it, here's a table for working out what size injectors need to be used (n.b. +10% injector rule for turboed engines):

Did I ever tell you about my aluminium fetish?
Top end mocked up with 'dummy' heads to trial fit the fan shroud. Quite a bit of fettling needed to get it to fit:
Still need to do the fan strap though:

More parts arrived in the post this week. Now have the rest of the EDIS parts and a trigger wheel:

Judging by your thread you'll be bolting it all back together soon!jonas_linder wrote:That looks beutifulI miss working on my engine

I did measure the lower one so I could order the toothed wheel to bolt to it... but I can't remember what size. I'll measure them tomorrow and let you know.Passatman wrote:Type3 what size crank pulley are you using and what size fan pulley is that.

Great turbo heads!
Question about your Ford Edis coil. I use the same one, but did you manage to get leads for them yet (other than the original Ford ones) so they will fit nicely with a 90 degree at the plug?
Tnx,
Walter

I haven't quite got as far as getting the plugs leads. I guess regular 8mm core leads will do? The leads that I use on my Fastback at the moment come with straight boots but can be swapped for the right angled boots that come with the leads. They seem to work fine.

Its that damn Ford tower connection at the coil itself that makes them special. I was hoping s/body made those custom for our application (Most Ford coils have one or two that are way too short and with a silly connection at the plug for those 4 valved Ford engines), but so far I only saw Richie Webb with such a custom set.
He got them from John Maher, but emailing JMR to order a set hasn't worked for me so far

Ah okay, I've got a picture of Ritchie's engine at home, I'll take a look for reference. John Maher is in the middle of nowhere these days, I guess he would pick up the phone though.
I'll take a look at my coil pack and leads tonight to get a handle on this. I guess it might be possible to make an adapter?

If you are looking for custom EDIS plug wires, go here ... http://auroraignitionwires.com/home.htm
They are in Canada, I got them to build me a custom set, with a 90 degree FORD EDIS end on one side and a 90 degree boot with air seal on the other, to the exact length I needed, 8.5mm Super Mag Plus with a red silicon coating.
They also have custom ends and connectors so you can build your own set
Hope this helps.
