Hello, fl_buggy, Rim's are heavy, so much I don't Want to weight them, yes they make a nonbead lock version, but when the time come, I may lighten up, but my buggie drivers like it's on a rail so I probley won't change much, except the motor , oh John W Kelly, you know were you rate with me , you are on the short list,,,, of THANKS deserved for your help last season. I've watched this thread for quite a while. Some good info here! Seems the buggy racers are some of the best about helping others set up their "glass cars"!
I did a lot of learning with mine last year (local tracks & 2 PRA races) & hope to get to all the PRA races this year along with most of the NASA series in Sac.
Mine is a 2332 with 48IDA's this year (went from a mild 2110 to a hotter 2276 last season) also assembling a "spare 2332" as a backup this time.
I have the (non-beadlock)BTR's in the rear & spindle mounts in the front. It has Jamar dual-cyl drag brakes in the rear so it still stops fairly well.
Not as fast as some yet (went from 12.60 to 11.30's last year) but high 10's should come (my ultamate goal in this car)as I get to know the car better & I gain a bit more experence. Any way good luck to another buggy racer! It's looking good!

Heck Ya! That’s badass! Buggies are so cool.
I’ve always wanted a street strip buggy and after the sale of my old USE car I bought a shell and pan. Everyone keeps telling me I’m nuts and it wont work but I’m not turning back now.
This new build will be “Mr Fister 9-140” its being built with intentions of lots of street time and once or twice a month track action. It will be capable of driving from here to Daytona and back which is roughly 50 miles away. It has a bus box, MSE vertigate, IRS suspension, 4 wheel Jaycee/Lummus brakes, funnycar cage, and an 80x94 injected turbo on E85.
Hoping for some low 6’s and mid 9’s.
