Guys, I need some expertize here,
The story so far, Engine is a 2.0 Fuel injection, came with carbs originally but have put a stock FI unit on it. Had been idle for a few years, but when I put it all together and fitted it in the car it started almost immediatedly and seemed to run fine, I could not drive the car as it is not road ready.
I have fitted new points and plugs.
Valves have been adjusted.
Distributor has been cleaned and checked.
Fuel pump has been moved to front and is working as I have tested it by crossing term 30 and 87 on the relay.
Fuel filter is new.
Changed MPS and made no difference.
New ignition switch.
New Air Filter.
All hoses look good.
Fuel tank has been reconditioned.
Fuel pressure has not been checked.
The symptoms:
As I have said initially it ran fine, and then we split the engine and tranny to fit an oil seal, then we did the valves as the rocker covers were leaking so when the covers were off we checked the valves.
Then the problem started. It will start and run for maybe 30 seconds and then die.
It will keep starting, and then dying.
While it is running it will rev and then die.
It I give it the throttle it will prolong it for few seconds more, but it just splutters and stops.
Sorry for the long post guys but I would appreciate any help or advice.
My engine will start,but will not stay running.

Check all of your main grounds on the case centerline under the plenum. Also, check the connection at teh CHT...it must be perfect. Also, check the resistance both hot and cold of the CHT while you are at it.
Check teh fuel presure first. If its low due to a clogged sock filter of junk in the pump.....it can cause this. All of the above can cause this.
Quit swapping parts like the MPS. It takesd seconds to test that part. Swapping parts will screw you up quick. It could simply be a bad wire or loose plug....and swapping a sensor could jiggle the plug just enough to start you....giving the false sense that you replaced the proper part.....and in reality it will leave you stranded in a day or two. Ray

Sounds like its running on the inital fuel from cranking....possible bad grounds so it won't run fully or the fuel pump relay is bad on the relay board.
Make sure all the correct FI matching parts are used as mis-matched parts cause problems.
check this site; www.members.rennlist.com/pbanders and go to the Djet pages to read. Look up the correct numbers for the ECU, MPS for your car to make sure they match and work right together. They are different!

Thank you for the advice, it will take me a while before I can get back to do these checks, but its great to have a forum for stuff like this and I really appreciate your help. I may be back with more questions.
Actually just one now, how do I check the resistance both hot and cold of the CHT ?
