Looks like I will make our autocross clubs test and tune event on Sunday afterall (if they let me register, deadline was FRI) . Got tires mounted this week , and just finished my narrowed beam install (will add pictures as soon as I take some after shots) , just need to set ride height and put the Hooisers on in the morning . New steering box sure made a difference ! don't know if I like the thick caster shims though (slowed the slow speed steering response down , sure high speed will be better than before) . Maybe a quick steer kit ?

do you know what the measured caster actually is? it might be that you've got too much.

quick steer + extra caster together will work together to make the wheel feel very heavy. it's probably a matter of taste, but i don't like it.

No idea what the final caster is yet , I need to take it in to have the toe checked/set on the machine (its so close I didn't scrub the tires any putting about 40 miles on it totay), I'll find out the caster measurement then . I used the thick 3.4 degree Berg shims , steering wheel is pretty heavy at race height , haven't driven it at street height (little higher in back) yet .

I only had time to make 2 runs today (so the new tires were still a bit slick/greasy), and I forgot my preasure guage (so I couln't play with preasure) , but still managed to have FTD at the time I left (25 cars had run) we'll see how well my time held once the rest of the other group got 4-6 runs .

Well , the results were posted this morning , we had 34 cars registered for the test & tune (most of them had 5 runs), I had the 8th fastest time of the day , easily could have been in the top 3 , if I could have stayed and gotten all my runs in . Does make me feel pretty good about the car setup for this year though .

Good Job! It's going to be a long while before I see an 8th fastest day.
