Signal wiring...sorry if this repeats i am new here

I have almost completed re-wiring my entire buggy from scratch. Thought it couldn't be too difficult, I wish you guys had warned me. Anyway...I cannot get my signals to work.

I do NOT have a stock signal switch, I have two illuminated toggle switches to the left of the steering wheel. Can anybody give me a hint as to how this should be wired? I have an original beetle shop manual and wired it as close to stock as possible, obviously splitting the power to the switches to supply both.

Marker/running lights are hooked up, seperate circuit. The switches have three terminals, supply, load and ground. Supply comes from the flasher and load goes to the light. Ground is self explanatory. I am using a two terminal electronic flasher, so it has power in and power out.

Right now when you flip the switch, toggle lights up and marker lights dim. Signal light does nothing.

This diagram shows one toggle for one side (Left or Right).

Is it best to have seperate circuits, including flashers for each, or can I come out of the same flasher for both left and right?

Thank you very much...that is what I have now, but I am pulling both circuits of off the same flasher.

One flasher can feed both Left and Right.

Flip both toggles and you have Hazards.

That was my intention...getting frustrated that it hasn't worked...knowing that I am on the right track helps. Thanks for the input so far...going to have to head to the garage with a bottle of Crown and figure this puppy out.

Never mind... I feel like an idiot...I traced all of my lines back and found that my power in line came loose...I must have knocked it off while crawling under my dash to do something else.

Connected power to the circuit and low and behold it worked... Thanks to all that helped.
