i will test my engine in a engine base i make...
and i make the wiring for testing...
i want to use a fuse for a circuit protection...
1)place the negative to engine stand test...
where i should place the fuse ? and how much amps should be?

Positive battery cable to starter solenoid. (No fuse)
From there to your key switch put a fuse, maybe 30 Amps.
From the switch to the engine (Coil, choke, etc.) use a 10 Amp fuse.
Nice test stand!!

speedy jim here is one drawing with my connections.... (i use 2 of your drawings in order you understand what i made)
i am not sure if the warning lights are right connected...
i start my engine with ignition switch (no connection to distributor + coil in order not start working..) to press some oil..
the starter is working.. but the warning lights are always on.. the oil pressure light doesnt turn off...
so i have to be sure that the lights are connected ok
thanks

Yes, the warning lights are correct. The other wiring looks OK too.
Try running the starter with the spark plugs removed. It will crank
faster to get oil pressure.

thanks for the help (here and the site with tech info you have)
while i was waiting for an answer.. i try it again and this time the light turned off
but still didnt manage to fire the engine right.. i had connect wrong the fuel line and have some leaks from the carb and had to remove it and fix it..
now i am ready.... but have to wait to charged the battery

it hadnt much power after all these attempts
does any one know how to connect my oil pressure vdo instrument / temp??
i cant find all the electrical drawings i have collect all this time
i have a dip stick sender for oil temp and oil pressure sender with bar and warning light (i remember that in the one connector of oil pressure sender there is a letter ''G'' )

the problem was that i was fallowing a wrong draw of spark plug connection
i have connected with the first one but after some research i found the second one and with the fire ordering from a book i have i connect them right this time
this time i was almost start the engine but still have bad battery..
one problem i notice is that ... when the engine starts working (1-2 seconds) i have both times burn the 10amp fuse...
that happen only when the engine starts fire... in all other previous attempts the fuse was ok.

i have both times burn the 10amp fuse...
Do you have the Generator connected? If so, it will try to feed
current
back to the battery through the fuse.
If you are using the generator, connect "B+" on the regulator
directly to the battery +.

today i had a new battery (44ah 12v)
after 5-6 times i try to start the engine ..didnt have enough power for next...
i change also and the coil with a new one i had for an other engine..
is a bosch 12v...
after 1-2 tries i check the new coil and was hot!! so i remove it (i am not sure if that thing should get hot or not..i didnt want to destroy it)
is any simpler wiring diagram to fire an engine?
i have changed 2 distributors still nothing....
i cant be sure what the problem is.. gas mixture or electrical ..
i have sparks in my cables but not sure if it is strong enough to fire pistons...
