hey guys. i just finished ripping my engine apart and dropped it off at the local shop to get the case align bored. i was wondering what is the largest oversize on crank bearings you guys would go for a 1914 turbo application?
the only reason i am asking is because that engine was rebuilt once before i bought the car and it may already have oversize bearings.
largest crank bearings you would use?

.040 or (second bore) is the farthest I will go on a mild performance motor.
.060 for a stocker after that I dont even bother to use the case again unless it is for a junker to just run till it blows like in a sand rail ect.
A lot depends on the case used, check for correct alignment ect.
Many believe you should only use a std case wich would be nice in a perfect world.
I have put many motors together that have been bored that have lasted for years.
But if you are looking for the best possible then you should use a std case.
