Last year I parked a great AZ bug.. then decided to hide the key so well nobody could find it.. (including me)
Any tips or pointers on testing this car's starting abilities?
I'm aware later bugs you could start after taking the key portion of the ignition out and use a slotted screw driver on the plastic switch

Jumper coil from battery like so:
Then jumper the starter (Shift in Neutral!!)
If difficult getting underneath, find the Red wire under the back seat
and jumper to battery post.

Thanks speedy..
Chances are I'll be pulling the tumbler after ward.
My intial thought was to hot wire it.. wanted to triple check there wasn't an easier answer.

Welllllll.....you could do like we used to with old Fords -
Hold a quarter under the ignition switch terminals.
Hold the coin one way to complete the coil circuit and
then touch it slightly to the starter contact.
