Overspray Removal

Post by MrGolf »

Do any of you know what will take overspray off my vinyl seats in my 72 Super and not ruin the vinyl. I was thinking of redoing them with black sem vinyl paint but I think that it would crack back off the sides of the seats after they were sat on a little while.???????????
Thanks

laquer thinner works really well to get overspray off of most stuff. You might want to try that. Not really sure of what else.

You can buy it at Walmart under a different name. That's where I got mine.

We've had some success with laquer thinner atthe wood shop I work at getting paint, and such off plastic safety glasses, as long as its wiped off QUICKLY as it will cloud, and eat plastics. Try it on a hidden area first. Doesn anyone know where I can get a few hidden areas to try stuff on?

The guy that did my vinyl headliner used mineral spirit to remove glue overspray from the headliner and paint. It didn't damage either. You might give it a try...
