converting to struts?

before everyone gets all cranky, macpherson struts work really well in lots and lots of car and are much cheaper at a wreckers than making custom A-arms. I'm using my car for short course dirt/rally style events and every other car in the events uses them and they work very well. Has anyone converted to struts or looked into the idea of it?

I love my struts! No weird geometry going on under load or cornering. But you didn't tel us what you were converting/driving. I've always wanted to convert my fastback to struts for road course use. Bit of work for sure. If it's a beetle, heck they come that way. Just grab a beater and have at it!

What's your real game plan?

this is what I'm thinking of converting the front end on...

I really sick of all the positive camber, understeer and a lack of adjustability. Frankly, torsion bar, K/L in particular, sucks for cornering. I know I could change to ball joint, but it's only really a slight improvement.

Spend some time checking out these picks of "the Oval" for some ideas.
