Where has Bob been

Post by 2088 bob »

I would like to apologize to everyone, I know I have not been around much as of late .Had to put my best friend down today and am not dealing with it very well
For those closest friends of mine they know how much of an animal lover i am . they understand the problem i have had watching my best friend fade away past 10 weeks since the cancer was discovered
I never realized the closeness that had developed between us ,those thousands of hours we have spent together in the shop .the wiggle of that tailless butt when i was frustrated ,the lick of the face when i was sad

Not very manly stuff ,not tough guy stuff but my feelings and probably the feelings of others who have lost their pets

over the last 11 1/2 years my wife has more than once eluded to the fact .that I may love that dog more than i love her and you know on some days she may have been right

The old saying is: times heels all wounds.... well i hope so

In memory of Highrails kennels Thunderpaws the Great Oswaldo

Or just plain my OzzieImage

Sorry to hear of your loss 2088 bob. I know it is devastating to lose someone close to you, hang in there. I am not going to say I know how you feel. I can say the loss of my father has been devastating and hard to understand, and it's been 24 years. I know how I felt that morning and for a long time, and still to this day it really makes me loss for words. It does get better and each of us are different. You have to remember the good times you had. We are all here for you, and praying for you.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Bob, sorry for your loss, those dang dogs can really latch ahold of your heart and yank it out when they leave. Been there and it will be ok, another one will be along to warm your heart again. Take care of yourself.

Bob,

Sorry for your loss. Sue and I live with 2 labs and I've always been a dog guy. At our house, they are members of the family. They sleep in the bedroom with us. They run the freakin' place. :?

But can't really imagine losing one. My heart goes out to you. Don't know is you're a church guy, but take a stop into any local church and look at the stained glass windows. Chances are one of them is a rendering of Jesus (or other dignitary) surrounded by children and animals. It seems God has a special place for these beasts that are so important in the lives of people. I believe Thunderpaws the Great Oswaldo is in a great place now. Hope you see it the same way.

Time doesn't really heal all wounds, IMO, but it'll hurt less as time goes by. Hang in there.

What a beautiful dog, It is not not un-manly to morn the loss of a friend. You still have the good memories and that is so important. I am sure all our thought are with you.

My opinion is worth slightly less than what you paid for it.

Bob, just got back and saw this thread, sorry to hear that about your buddy. No words can change what you feel when that happens, and the "wish" to have a few more good ol' days.

I wish you and your family the best and that you are left with nothing but great memories. I know, first hand, how those little knuckleheads are a big pain in the butt sometimes, but leave a tremendous void when they leave.

Dear Bob.
Unmanly is not a word I would use for what your feeling. Ozzie, I'm sure is like my dog Brandi. Always protecting my family when I'm gone, always ready to play with my son when were to busy, always happy to see you when you walk in the front door, Totally content to just hang out with you. Our dogs give us unconditional love, like our moms. And anyone who has lost one knows that you have lost a family member. My heart goes out to you brother.

Bob.. I'm bummed.

Can relate to your love and dedication.

My wife and I cut our European vacation short - not because of the family.. not because of the company.. because of the 9# wiener dog waiting at home.

Sorry about the loss.

T.
