type 4 cylinders oxyboxer?

Post by jan72 »

Hello. I was thinking of using type 4 cylinders on an "oxyboxer". These will be 93 mm bored to 94; the diameter in the block is 100 mm, diameter in the head is 105 mm. Unfortunately, i don't remember these dimensions from a stock wasser cylinder. Can anybody help me with this? It wolud also be useful to know what length a wasser cylinder is (from block to head, not total length).
Thank you.

The base of the 1.915cc WBX cylinder is 100mm like a type 4.
The top is 106.3 to 106.5(bit rusty).
Length from top to case face is about 107mm.

To use the type 4 cylinder you may have to mod the stud holes,
and machine the top spigot area of some fins
to reach into the type 1 head surface.

Thanks. The type 4 cylinder is around 100 mm long (from top to case face). So I would have to modify the stud holes, remove a fin to get the cylinder inside the head and put a spacer between the case and the cylinder. Or maybe remove some material from the head...
I managed to get a wbx, so i can measure everything now. The bad thing is that's a DF engine, 60 HP, with small valve heads.
