Anyone seen Ozzie?

For road racing, autocrossing, or just taking that curve in style. Oh yea, and stopping!

Haven't seen you post in months.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

We're back

Post by FJCamper »

Hi-

I havn't heard from Ozzie myself, but it looks like RetroRacing is going to get back to the track after our nearly year-long hiatus.

Driver Barret Camper is finally back from Afghanistan, and it's time to prepare for 2009. Our Ghias have set dusty and silent in a dark garage.

Gentlemen,

The Oz is home working hard and taking a racing break. He's fine.

Thanks for the update Mr. Camper. As a Ghia-freak I do miss his suspension and handling posts and pithy comments, but just knowing that somehow makes me feel that all's right with the world.

 Y'all make me blush.
Happy New Year Everyone!

I'll be taking the 5-Ball to the track this year. The view is a bit different than the Ghia. If it seems to work out, I'll be rolling in the driveway again; swapping parts. The Ghia needs a balls-on body resto. Maybe even a trip to the NC hill country to see the Wiz. Look for some more strange sorted tales from the perpetual newbie.

Still working but don't know for how long. No new hires, no raises, employees that leave aren't replaced. Layoffs and paycuts expected later this year. Paint job and sticky tires for the Ghia will have to wait.

Bingo. That's the canoe I'm in. The most optimistic estimates I'm hearing that sound at least slightly credible put the turn around late in the third quarter. Fingers are crossed, but hedging if it doesn't pan. Stocking up on the three G's, JIC.
