I read some where here the head cc is 15cc is this correct for the std VW head aswell the after market AMC

flag, the amc heads are 15cc nominal. there are variations on v.w o/e heads, ive seen 18cc on some , so care is the word.
as for computing c/r, you could post up your volumes and deck height here, and it will get done. or a search of the net will find you the formulae
