knock sensor best location?

hello guys,
i'm retrofitting a digi 1 from a golf G60 on my turbod wbx syncro, and need to add a knock sensor.
2 locations are handy: on the right side , on the head just above the first spark plug, or on the left using one of the aircon holder thread on the block.
which one would you use?
