Custom made grenade shift knob with threads cut specifically for Volkswagen Bus shifters. I have one each of: 52-67, 68-79. Beetle knobs also available. Type 3s available if you measure the threads on your type 3 shifter for me. Alloy steel adapter will not work loose no matter how hard you pull on the knob, simple spin-on design does not require set screws. Price: $26.50 plus shipping and handling.
