The Thing made the list of flop US imports to a collectable today. The article values our Things as $13,000 to $29,000..

Not sure how they can claim the Thing was not very practical. It's a good all around go anywhere car. Could have used better windows and a real top though. VW advertised it as a toy, when they should have advertised it as a work vehicle.
