Have this Invader GT Kit Car body for sale. The body is in decent shape, it can be bolted to a full length VW Pan. It would be a very inexpensive fun project for the right person.
The body has been fitted with a wooden support frame and it could be shipped or stored.
Asking $250
Thanks for looking.

Re: Invader GT Kit Car Body Southern California $ 250
This ad has been viewed over a 1000 times on the samba, I have had some inquiries about this Kit Car Body but for the most part, I have to agree with some of my friends, that told me to get rid of it before the effort was made to sell it.
Perhaps Kit Cars have had their day, they are sophisticated now, almost like one off custom cars. In there lies the rub. This is one of the simplest Kits ever made.
There was a time, when you could not give a Dune buggy away, now a Manx Dune Buggy Body sells for 2000 +
I am also old enough to remember when you could not give a VW Bay window Van away for Free. Try to find one now for under a few Thousand dollars.
From the inquiries that I do receive, it is obvious, people cannot even be bothered to simply Google the name of the Kit Car, or even read the article I have attached in the pictures on the Samba. With questions like; ' Does it mount to a VW pan' or 'Where do I find parts'
Pricing a Kit Car Body at 200 or 250 usually signals a Haul Away Price.
This could be a throwback to simpler times, with a simpler vehicle. You still can find a cheap VW Bug, perhaps one that has seen better days or has some sort of light body damage.
In one long weekend, you could possibly have a great, inexpensive, unique project.
Perhaps a Father / Son or Father / Daughter Project.
This surely would be a one of a kind ride for driving to High School.
Inexpensive to build and run or as sophisticated as your imagination.
If I had the time, I personally in-vision a Tube Framed, Subaru Powered, slightly raised Desert Pre Runner.
Either way, I would like to see someone put this project back on the road, it is way to unique and in much to good of a condition to be discarded. It is not about the money either.
The building of the support frame, the cost of moving it on top of a storage container ( Rented Forklift ) and paying for the storage, far exceed my asking price.
I am including a picture of a Yellow Invader, that was build here in SoCal, by a Samba Member.
It is just to give some idea, what it could look like.
With the kids building air ride cars nowadays, I could see the Invader GT also being one of the lowest cars ever built. It would be a blast to see this thing, come down the road, scrapping the ground.
The possibilities are truly endless.

Usually I would be the one to "pick it up". I will check with my buddy to see if I can "store it" at his place, there is no way I can keep it at my house. Do you know what windshield it takes?
