CB Crank fire ????

Post by saltracer »

I have searched but can't find the source of a couple of parts that CB uses in the crank fire kits and I would like to take a couple of spares with me racing. I am trying to figure out what the coil pack they used came off of and also what the crank sensor came off of. It's much cheaper for me to buy them locally than to mail order them out of the USA.

Thanks

There's been a revolution in finding the answers you want nowadays. There's this new thing called Google and I, get this, looked at CB Performance's website and your crank-trigger kit, then did what's called a search (I think that's what it is) of coilpack.

Well, the Amazons show lots of pictures, and I found one that looks a lot like the CB coilpack here:

I know, I couldn't believe it either!

Ya, I did the same thing 10 minutes after I posted this and found the coil I was looking for. My new MSD is sitting here on my workbench.

Still no luck with the crank sensor though. Thanks for your reply and not being a condescending 🤡.

Sure looks like a 00-04 ford focus crank sensor.

Thanks very much. I'll check it out. Never worked on many ford 4 bangers.
