A street engine that peaks at 7000 rpms?! That has to be at 15+ psi of boost too. And it is injected and quite possibly water meth injected.
And no way an N/A engine is going to make nearly 200ft/LBS of torque at 2500 rpms. Also keep in mind that turbo 2275 is 170 hp at 5000 rpms. Won't find that on an N/A engine either. That CB engine is also 2332. 170 hp at 5000 rpms on a 2275 is spot on by the calculator I use.
Didn’t look at the toque tbh, no that’s true, you would need to string out a NA engine a another 1000-1500 rpm

But what I’m getting at, is it worth turboing a big stroker only to make 170 bhp?! IMO no.... wouldn’t you agree? All that effort and money for another 20bhp peak. I want to Atleast double my NA power of my 2110.

My engine will whizz up to 6000-6500 rpm easily and sound happy there on the street and I was using it daily and would do that most drives I took it in (couldn’t help it lol)
but like wise normal driving day to day you don’t want huge power all the time... just some ;)

Subaru TD04L got it from a company that imports cars and engines from japan not sure what model it comes off. Our local Subie dealership says it is not in their data base for north American cars when I was trying to find a waste gate actuator that I seem to have misplaced and can't seem to find in all my piles of stuff :x So how do you think a 86a cam will work in a Turbo motor ?

I have a new actuator from my TD04. Not sure if it's the same as yours or not though.

I think it would be worth it for sure. You have to remember that 99.99% of your driving isn't going to be at peak. I would say no NA engine is going to make 200 ft/lb of torque, let alone at 2500 rpm. Also I would imagine those heads are most likely a 40x35 standard type cheapo head. So just a run of mill engine. No $700 pistons, no $1300 heads... Etc.
Without really looking I would say most strokers land in the 130-150hp and torque range. So while it may only be 20 more hp, it's likely to be at least 50ft/lb more torque.
Also to get double the hp your going to need to run at least 15 psi of boost. That means most will need low compression. So then your going to be doubling the hp of a low compression engine. It's all a trade off. Especially if it's a draw through carb on a limited/locked dizzy. Injected on a crank trigger with E85 or meth changes everything.
If I remember right you are running over 9:1 compression. Running at least 15 psi is going to be on the edge!

WOW that would be just great bugguy how much do you want for it? I took mine off to reclock it. Hung the turbo and up pipe on the wall after a conceptual mock up for inspiration and a reminder of where I was going with the baja while I did a case swap with piston squirters, cam, rocker and behive spring changes to make this thing hold up better to a Turbo upgrade. Now I can't for the life of me remember what I did with it :x . There was also a major shop clean, paint and purge in the mean time and it may have gotten tossed by accident or just in a really really good safe keeping place  I really need to to do an up date of my thread after the weekend on the turbo progress and not clutter up other very interesting threads viewtopic.php?f=3&t=150241 I will send you a private message.

Mike I bet it did too. 500 cfm would support over 350 hp.
And I agree totally Andy. That's my motto! I will be pushing mine til she blows!
No problem Terry. The guys here have always been there to help me and I will do the same. The actuator came on my turbo and I use an external gate. So its yours brother. I will send it out this weekend. Hope it fits!

Ooooh! Hadn't started the car in a week or 2. Fired right up with the new tps and sounded tough! She wants to run! Better go pick it up tomorrow and see if I can race some of the nascar guys that are in town!

For that price I'd snatch it up!
